Testimonials

Shawn Clayton was an individual whom I followed from the first day I built my home in Curtis Point, Mantoloking, NJ, 20 years ago. He had a strong understanding of the Barrier Island and was known for his sales and rentals. After 20 years in Curtis Point, it was time for a change. We contacted Shawn after investigating other realtors, and as a family, it was an unanimous decision to engage Shawn as our realtor. We placed our home listing with Shawn on Saturday night and Sunday morning, we had 7 showings, and one of the parties made an offer on Monday. A bit too fast for us, but Shawn stepped right in and took charge of the situation. At an appropria...

Our decision to initially sign with a different realtor probably cost us several hundred thousand dollars. Because this other realtor was not active in the market, our house sat until that contract expired and we were able to pick up Shawn. The delay created an impression that maybe there was something wrong with our house because it had been sitting. So Shawn started with one foot in a hole but he leveraged his impressive marketing machine to get us wide exposure and ultimately more than one offer. Don't make our mistake, go with Shawn the first time.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Shawn. He handled all of our issues with not only a professional attitude but he also made us feel very comfortable with our purchase. I would definitely use him again for any of our real estate needs. Thanks, Shawn.

We were very happy working with Shawn in purchasing our beach house! He was very knowledgeable about the areas in which we were looking and showed us areas we wouldn't have considered on our own. He was very accommodating and flexible with our busy schedule. He referred us to our mortgage broker, flood insurance agent, and a local architect, all of whom we've chosen to do business with. We would highly recommend working with Shawn!

Shawn represented me as Executor in the sale of a magnificent beach property. He deftly and professionally handled competing bids to arrive at a price very close to asking. We were able to close the deal in a very short period of time to allow the purchasers to have the full benefit of the summer beach season. I would highly recommend Shawn.

Shawn Clayton from Clayton and Clayton is by far the best. He understands what you want. He understands your needs and he works for you to accomplish your objectives. He worries about you not himself. Many real estate professionals tell you that you need to do this or that, they give you work. Shawn takes care of everything professionally with a smile so you(I) do not have to do the work. Shawn Clayton represented me when I purchased the home, when I rented the home, and when I sold the home.

While in the early stages of looking for a waterfront property, I reached out to Shawn regarding a listing he had. Shawn spent a lot of time with me that day, as well as many days in the months ahead, helping me navigate in understand the home buying process. The time he has given me was invaluable, and his knowledge and expertise of the area allowed us to find the home of our dreams. I highly recommend Shawn for your real estate needs.

In the spring of 2013, we decided that a house near the ocean would make a lot of sense for our family. Our experience with Shawn Clayton and Clayton and Clayton Inc. could not have been better. He showed us numerous homes at times that fit our schedule and really helped us understand the lay of the land on the Jersey shore. We ultimately found a house that we liked, made a bid, and went under contract. Many realtors would have checked out of the process at this point. Luckily for us, Shawn did not operate in this fashion. We had a short closing window, and many obstacles existed to closing on time. Shawn went over and beyond the call of duty to mak...
